Michigan July fireworks

As a Michigan family photographer, capturing the joy and excitement of family moments during summer celebrations is one of my favorite things to do. And what better way to preserve those moments than during the 4th of July, when Michigan fireworks light up the sky, families come together, and the air is filled with excitement?

Location: Whitmore Lake, MIStart the festivities early with the Whitmore Lake Fireworks on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The event begins with a fun-filled evening at 7:00 PM with a dunk tank, games, and food vendors across from the Post Office on Main Street. The fireworks show will light up the sky at 9:55 PM, creating a perfect backdrop for family photos.

Lake Erie Metropark Fireworks – July 3, 2025 (Dusk)

Location: Lake Erie Metropark, Brownstown, MIThe Lake Erie Metropark hosts its annual fireworks show at dusk on July 3, 2025. Arrive early to grab a good spot to enjoy the park’s trails and playgrounds, as well as live entertainment by the Rick Lieder Trio before the fireworks start. A Metroparks vehicle pass is required for entry, so make sure to grab one ahead of time.

Wolverine Lake Fireworks – July 3, 2025 (Dusk)

Location: Wolverine Lake, MIJoin in on the Tiki Night tradition at Wolverine Lake for a fireworks display that begins at dusk. Frankenmuth Fireworks – July 3, 2025 (Around 9:30 PM)

Location: Heritage Park, Frankenmuth, MI Frankenmuth’s fireworks display will light up the sky to celebrate Independence Day. The fireworks are expected to last around 20 minutes, making for a quick but exciting event that’s perfect for families with younger kids. Lexington Fireworks – July 4, 2025 (Dusk)

Location: Downtown Lexington, MIOn July 4th, head to Lexington for an unforgettable fireworks display at dusk. The Lexington Stare Harbor will light up, providing an amazing backdrop for family photos. Lake Orion Fireworks – July 5, 2025 (Dusk)

Location: Lake Orion, MIIf you’re in the Metro Detroit area, the Lake Orion Fireworks on July 5, 2025, offer another opportunity to catch a beautiful display. The fireworks will light up the night over the lake, making for a stunning view and the perfect setting for family photos. Davisburg Fireworks – July 11, 2025 (Dusk)

Location: Springfield Oaks County Park, Davisburg, MIIf you missed the earlier fireworks shows, you can catch one more with the Davisburg Fireworks at the Oakland County Fair, hosted at Springfield Oaks County Park. This event includes a fun-filled evening, starting with an 8:00 PM Figure 8 Race at the Fair’s grandstand. With the fireworks set to follow, it’s sure to be an exciting evening for families!
